Ephesians 5:20
Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Colossians 1:12
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (adequate) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
If you're not thankful for what you have, you will not be thankful for what you may receive.
Being thankful is a state of mind not a state of abundance.
